Exploring Telemedicine in Space

to test their devices in outer space

Imagine a patient who has just undergone surgery or is suffering
from chronic pain; the doctor needs to evaluate the level of pain and
adjust the drug recommendations. Many times the patient may be
debilitated. It would be much better for the patient to stay at home,
call the doctors and the doctor could remotely control the administra-
tion of the pain medication and the dose.
