GUIDE RESEARCH FROM CONCEPT TO CURE Accelerate medical innovation and Master of Clinical Translation Management Clinical translation is the process by which promising research discoveries move out of the laboratory and into use in medical practice. This vital process is highly regulated and fraught with hurdles that either significantly delay – or altogether prevent – the successful development of research into an approved clinical product. The Master of Clinical Translation Management (MCTM) degree rigorously trains students to assess the quality and commercialization potential of biomedical research outputs, and cultivates the necessary business acumen to successfully guide innovative therapies through the development pipeline and into clinical use. Highlights of the program include: • Real-world projects working with researchers developing medical products at Houston Methodist Research Institute • Small class sizes that encourage high levels of student engagement and collaboration • Behind-the-scenes exposure to life science and health care business sectors via regular seminars, meetings, and special events in the Texas Medical Center Graduates of the program will be well-equipped for a variety of career endeavors such as supporting research and development efforts at pharmaceutical and biomedical device companies, managing technology transfer within research organizations, or providing consulting services at firms focused on life sciences management.
