Currently, 1.2 million people in the United States are living with HIV/AIDS and another 1.2 million face a substantial risk of contracting it. By participating in regular testing, practicing safe sex through the use of condoms, and having conversations with partners about their sexual history, individuals can greatly reduce their risk of contracting the disease. For more information about HIV/AIDS prevention and for testing locations, visit the Texas Department of State Health Services website: www.dshs.texas.gov/hivstd/services/service_h.shtm June 2017 10 Fresh, locally grown food is sold at the Rice University Farmers Market on Tuesdays throughout the year, 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The market is located at parking lot entrance 13B, 5600 Greenbriar Drive.
